Display Instagram Posts and Feeds in Shopify with Social Shopper Pro App

Social proof is one of the best ways to increase trust, establish your brand, and encourage conversions on your Shopify store. While Meta’s Facebook and Instagram have direct integrations between their platforms and Shopify, Shopify does not have a built-in tool for displaying Instagram photos on Shopify. Fortunately, Shopify’s third party app store has plenty of solutions, including our Shopify-Instagram feed app, Social Shopper Pro.

For a full explanation on how to use Social Shopper Pro, see our video below or read on.

Import Instagram Photos and Videos into Shopify

The first step to displaying your Instagram posts in Shopify is to connect your Instagram account to Shopify. Our app uses Instagram’s secure API to allow you to connect your Instagram account to your Shopify store with one click.

Click ‘Connect to Instagram’ to initiate Instagram’s authorization request. This one-step connection process does all the heavy lifting for you. All you have to make sure of is that you are signed into your Instagram account in the same browser.

Import Your Instagram Posts

Once your Instagram account is connected, you can click ‘Refresh Instagram’ to import all posts to the app. To create a feed that can display anywhere on your website, give your IG Feed a unique title and select the photos to include. Each post’s description plus a link to the original Instagram post will automatically import to each post in your feed. Click ‘Save Feed’ to save this unique feed.

Click ‘New Feed’ to start creating another feed. You can repeat the process and save as many feeds as you would like to create multiple interchangeable feeds.

To display the Feed on your website, click the ‘Choose your feed:’ dropdown menu and select the feed you would like to display from your saved options.

Upgrading to our Pro plan will allow you to tag products in each post on your feeds. This allows customers to shop directly from your feed, adding another conversion funnel to your store.

Create an Instagram Feed

Once your Instagram account is connected and your Instagram posts, including images, slideshows, and videos, are imported, you can start to create your own feeds. Scroll down to locate the feed editor. To start, name your feed. You can create as many custom Instagram feeds as you would like to display in different locations in your Shopify shop and on different occasions.

Display Your Instagram Feed on Your Shopify Store Using App Blocks

Shopify App Blocks are available on any Shopify theme using Shopify 2.0 or greater. App Blocks are used widely by various apps on the App Store. They allow you to extend your theme by dragging and dropping app extensions through the theme customizer. Each app block will display as its own section, carrying functionality from the app it comes from to your store’s front end. If you have not used them before, we suggest reading up on Shopify App Blocks.
